If you’ve ever been to the west coast you’ve probably passed the Lime Bar and if you’ve ever been to Lime Bar it’s because you’ve spent an evening in Holetown’s 1st and 2nd Streets. It’s the perfect start to practically any evening because if it’s a Saturday night you’ll bump into everyone and if it’s a Tuesday night you’ll actually be able to get served at the bar. You can’t lose. Drinks aren’t expensive and cocktails aren’t fussy. The people look good and you’re outdoors to the tune of a good crowd. What more are you looking for? Ok you want to be able to be served at the bar before hell freezes over but who’s in a rush?! You’re in Barbados!
If you get there on the right night you can catch a few hilarious hookers surreptitiously hanging out at the bar just long enough to meet someone. Anyone. Once you’re done there the Holetown nightlife is your oyster. Just shimmy across the road to all the other bars and restaurants or roll yourself into the Limegrove Cinema for a movie in a large leather seat with a better-than-normal menu.
